A bit about the land:

The undulating hill, known as Collina delle Olive, was first planted with olive trees more than 200 years ago. Many of these original trees still stand and even the babies of the grove are now more than 50 years old.

A bit about the farmer:

Rita, Massimo and son Alfio Paolucci run the farm and agriturismo. Rita is passionate about their olive trees and insists that, these being delicate varietals, they must be cared for like a woman – treated with respect and love (and given a box of chocs every Friday).
